Sunflower House is a community based not for profit service where people with lived experience of mental illness can meet, take part in activities and find the help needed for their mental health journey.

Service description

Sunflower House is designed to: increase the periods of wellness experienced by members; provide a place where everyone feels needed, safe, accepted and empowered; provide opportunities for members to perform meaningful tasks and activities while being supported by staff; and provide access and advocacy to other services where necessary.

Sunflower House staff may be able to help individuals who suffer from a mental illness and don’t qualify for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Sunflower House can also help individuals in their transition to the NDIS, as well as provide support for members who are plan-managed or self-managed with an NDIS package.

Sunflower House provides psychosocial group activities in the house and the community to build skills and confidence in interacting with others.

Sunflower House provides 1:1 supports at medical and/or allied health appointments, meal preparation, grocery shopping…

Eligibility

Adults (18+ years) living with severe and persistent mental illness.
