Wagga Wagga Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC)
MMHC provides evidence-based assessment, care coordination, information, support and treatment to individuals experiencing psychological distress.
MMHCWW offers free, short-term mental health support, therapy, peer support, counselling, care coordination and GP services.
Operating Hours
- Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri: 9am-5pm (last minute walk ins welcome until 4pm)
- Thurs: 9am – 7pm (last minute walk ins welcome until 6pm)
- Saturday Mornings: 9am – 1pm (last minute walk ins until 12pm)
Eligibility Criteria
- Adults aged 16 years and over with moderate to high levels of mental health need or in distress can access short to medium term supports through our service.
- Anyone can access support through the National phone line (1800 595 212) or by calling 02 6453 4440
- Anyone can walk into our Wagga centre and receive care navigation support.
Referral Process
- Referrals can be made via the National Phone line (free call) 1800 595 212 which is available weekdays 8:30am – 5pm
- Services can refer to MMHC using the Murrumbidgee MHDA Alliance form emailed to can@mphn.org.au or waggawaggammhc@gph.org.au
- GP referrals and Mental Health Treatment Plans can be emailed to waggawaggammhc@gph.org.au
- Walk-ins welcome Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday until 4 pm, Thursday until 6 pm and Saturday’s until 12 pm.
